This motor is from the first
year of production. It features unique styling that
requires opening the top cover to access the flywheel
for starting, to get to the gas tank cap, and to choke
or adjust the carb. When the cover is closed, nothing
is accessible. It requires a 6 volt battery to have
spark since it does not have a self contained magneto.
I purchased this motor in 1979 from the original owner
from New Jersey. I first ran it at a meet in 1981 and
have used it occasionally ever since.
